Been working in my uncle’s office for weeks now. Quite enjoying the work! It can get really busy at times and extremely relaxing at most =) My uncle says that my jobscope revolves around business development, when what i really do is spy on other companies.. cool shit huh!
So i recently completed the korean companies and i’ve learnt a few stuff from those few days of work
1. Koreans love the blue sky, clouds, grass, bubbles and the occasional little kids running around. ALL of the korean websites have at least 3 out of the above as the backdrop! So much so, i kept mixing all the companies up!
2. Google Translate works better on entire websites and Yahho Babel Fish works best on copied and pasted lines!
3. Used otherwise, the translation programmes can make you laugh the biggest laugh of the day. e.g. when using babel fish on an entire website:
I apologise for the poor image quality, but i just have to show this! Concentrate on the explanation column on the right.. Dentistry buccal cavity being spirited! wahahaha

it reads: Digesting promotion, indigestion, loss of appetite (appetite decay) and overeating, the up body and breast answer answers, up issue, abdomoen thousand emotions and full dress
Can you ever guess what kind of product i’m covering??
Alimentary products! HAhaha..
Right now i’m working on French companies.. But nothing beats korean translations!
Other than that, i do all the brainless bao-ka-liao stuff in the office! Just 2 days ago, i was pasting barcodes on the medicine sachets and i have to say, that was the most fun task ever! Hahahaha! While the other dudes take just fractions of a second to complete a row of 2 sachets, i felt my OCD creep in and took like 3 secs for each!
Unlike most peeps, i HATE my lunchtime… ever since a friend i made here left, i’ve been dreading lunch til no end… not very nice to mention it here, but if you ask me in person, i’ll tell =)
Dread dread dread.
Alrighty! I’m done with my lunch (which is a pathetic piece of bread by the way) and I’m going back to france =))
